It’s outta here! The first lead in the series, this team still hasn’t lost 3 in a row and we’re in a good position to take this game.
Wright is up and they love to pitch him away with breaking stuff. He needs to adjust.

What an unlikely pitcher’s duel. Not so much on the Red Sox side, but the crusty old veteran Tom Glavine is slow mowing them down. The game remains scoreless going to the top of the sixth.
Holy crap! The Mets actually start the third inning with a 0-0 tie. First time in this series. The downside is that Schilling has only thrown 12 pitches to get his first 6 outs. If he keeps this up, he’ll have a 52 pitch complete perfect game.
In the blink of an eye, the Mets went from posing a real scoring threat on Jon Lester and the Boston Red Sox to collectively holding our breath as Reyes couldn’t catch his. In a collision between a rock and a harder place, Reyes was waved home by Manny Acta on a single to left […]
The seats on the Green Monster wreaked havoc on Lastings Milledge in the bottom of the 4th inning. Manny popped up to left field and all the fans on the Green Monster were blowing so much hot air that the ball knuckled and fell in allowing 2 runs to score. Dang!
Delgado leads off with a seeing eye home run hooking around Pesky’s pole. The Boston crowd erupts with a “Yankees suck!” chant. Wright strikes out on a wicked changeup. Franco strikes out on high cheese and Nady grounds out to second.
Coco “Twitchy Fingers” Crisp pops up for the first out, Gonzalez doubles off the monster, […]
Jon Lester finally got Jose Reyes out by shattering his bat, LoDuca grounded out to shortstop and Beltran walked but then got picked off.
Alay Soler allowed a lead off double to big head Youklis, got Loretta to pop out, got big Papi to pop out, walked Manny and plunked Trot to load the bases. Up […]
The Mets are ready are the Red Sox ready to taste the wrath of the New York Mets?
Tuesday night can not come quickly enough. I hope the Red Sox sweep the Phillies, for one reason so that it widens the gap for the lead in the NL East and so that the Sox come in […]
Although only 23, David Wright is making a real run at the National League MVP award if he can continue to improve and if the Mets can keep winning. His partner on the left side of the infield, Jose Reyes, is scaring the crap out of opposing teams because he has figured out how to […]
It should have been a great win, it turned out to be a gutting loss. Jose Reyes hit for the cycle, Jose Valentin smacked a lefty on lefty homer and Billy Wagner blew the game because he did not want to throw a 0-2 slider.
The Red Sox on the other hand get 10 strikeouts from […]
